Welcome to CRT 101!
I am Olga Rubio a Professor in the Teacher Education Department at California State University. This course is dedicated to educators who are interested in engaging linguistically and culturally diverse students in K-12 classrooms The course draws from the Culturally Responsive Pedagogical principles developed by Geneva Gay (2010). While there are several educators who have developed strategies to teach them, I think Geneva Gays' six principles of culturally responsive teaching is a viable and effective way of teaching diverse learners to achieve their greatest potential. The course identifies six principles, resources and lessons designed to implement them.
