Instructions
- Think of instructional material in a newsletter format that you will most likely create and use in your future teaching. Examples are back-to-school night for parents, class information for students, field trip information for students and parents, fund raising activity, student handbook, technology tips for students, etc. When in doubt of the material’s appropriateness, verify with the instructor.
- Create a 2-page newsletter with your original content. If you include content from other sources, make sure that you are copyright-compliant and cite your sources.
- Format the newsletter so that it includes or you have applied at least 8 of the following functions:
- Paragraph alignment or spacing
- Paragraph fill
- Tabs
- Indent
- Bullets or numbering
- Page border or shading
- Picture, SmartArt, Shapes
- WordArt or DropCap
- Margins
- Sections and columns
- Page break
- Page numbers
- Header or footer
- Table
- Hyperlink
- Save your newsletter as in .docx and .pdf formats. Create a shareable, viewable, no sign-in needed link.
