The Meeting of Constructivist Theory and ASSURE

The Constructivist Theory and ASSURE instructional design model can be used together effectively to create instructional materials and plans for students of the 21st century.  Both the learning theory (Constructivist) and the model (ASSURE) focus on the need for students to be active participants in the learning process, as well as the need to utilize technology, media, and other materials in a specific context for learners to research and expand their pre-existing knowledge and experiences surrounding a subject.
