Action Mapping and Activity Design

Action Mapping

Action Mapping is a collaborative process in which instructional designers work with clients and subject matter experts to identify goals and place them on a ‘map’ (Moore, 2019). No actions get listed unless those actions directly tie to a business goal. Meaning, Action Mapping is not intended for use in academia because knowledge is not the focus, business outcomes are.
