WHAT GOD INTENDED FOR GOOD WE MADE INTO EVIL.

There are many opinions on rather the new technology is our friend or foe. Truth be told the answer is really hard to come up with. There are some good and bad in all of it. With our society today the negatives seems to outweigh the positives especially with the younger generations. So that is question that many would say they would say technology is our and friend but is also our foe.

While technology does influence and change us over time, technology is a tool that God has given us to be used in ways that honor Him and help us love our neighbor. The Bible says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Matt. 22:37-39). This verse relates to the sense of technology because technology was invented as a tool to help us. If we are looking at websites that is not honoring and glorifying God then as Christian we will destroy our testimony. We have to always protect our testimonies and do not allow the devil to continue to still our joy.

Technology in the future will ultimately take over many jobs and that would be tough because it will eliminate a lot of jobs. In the text book A gift of fire: Social, legal, and ethical issues for computing technology (5th ed.) the Arthur talks about a lot of information about this topic. According to Chapter 6, (Baase and Henry, 2017) the impact that computers are having with the work place one must wonder how much longer will something new comes up and start eliminating jobs. Many companies have already eliminated jobs. For instances, "reduced the need for telephone operators, meter readers, and mid-level managers because of the new technology" (Baase and Henry 2017).
