According to the leadership style assessment, stage 4: self-esteem most aligns with me and my values. A stage four leader operates under a fear of failure, loss, and rejection. I believe this describes me because I am a “people pleaser.” I motivate myself by meeting and exceeding people’s expectations. This correlates with my two other high styles, security and social. I learned that my “people pleaser” characteristic is made up of my desire for self-esteem, having security, and social acceptance. The three styles are who make me the leader and hard worker that I am to feel proud, secure, and socially accepted. I have learned through this assessment that I am not eager to search, which is something I will strive to do. I thrive more by accomplishing goals and pleasing myself and others.
