Research Experience

In correlation with the University's core 39 curriculum requirements for writing embedded experience we were assigned a research paper to complete in NUTR 496. My paper titled Government Fed, Funded, and Failed- The Dietary Guideline for Americans .docx  provided an in-depth analysis of the Dietary Guidelines of America and their short-comings in assess the health status of American's. 

In this project we were tasked with creating a meal for service of 30 people that represented five different countries form a particular culture. We learned quantity prep, teamwork, and knowledge on a new culture and the cuisine native to that culture.  This research was extensive including interviews and systematic reviews on the literature make certain that our meal was authentic.
