Reflection Statement: The purpose of this assignment was to allow us to demonstrate effective and professional oral and written communication and documentation. We were tasked with locating a position paper from the Academy website and writing a paper and giving and oral presentation with a partner on the topic. This allowed us to gain more knowledge of nutrition topic while also practicing communication and teamwork.

Reflection Statement: The purpose of this assignment was to allow and help us to understand the Importance and expectation of a professional in mentoring. We were tasked with teaming up with an older member in the dietetics program and focusing on three areas to discuss with them. We were responsible for finding the mentor as well as scheduling times to meet. This allowed us a glimpse into things to expect in the world of dietetics.

Reflection Statement: The purpose of this assignment was to help us gain knowledge on the Code of Ethics presented by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. It helped us to better understand and to develop our ability to describe the Code of Ethics. When doing this assignment we were able to gain the ability to identify ethical issues and know resources in which to report the issues. We did this through the evaluation of three different case studies and describing the issue and principles in which they violated. Overall, we are now able and knowledgable on the ethics in the scope of dietetics.

Reflection Statement: The purpose of this assignment is to assess our current and future career and personal goals. It also allows us to evaluate several different aspects of dietetic and examine internship programs. These goals were from a span of the next year, the next 5 years and 10 years. For myself personally my goals professionally include things varying from graduating, obtain an internship, and getting licensed and hired as a registered dietitian. My personal career goals reflect what happens within my professional career. My personal goals are reflected by my professional goals because then I will have financial stability and will be more able to accomplish all my personal goals.

Reflection Statement: This assignment was created to assess our research ability by evaluating the lives of a leader within the food and nutrition world. We were to demonstrate our abilities to do research using sources and proper citations within our paper. For my leader in food and nutrition I chose the creator of the now current Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Lulu Graves. She is a role model and powerful force within the dietetic field.
