This site provides easy practice using a self-grading, self-timed conjugating program. The student can select verbs to conjugate and the duration of the practice exercise. Tenses included are present, preterite, imperfect, future, conditional and present and past subjunctive. The progressive and perfect tenses are also included. The student can choose to conjugate with or without the vosotros form.

Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
There is a clear purpose and organization scheme with an adequate number and variety of regular and irregular verbs. Excellent features include pop-up windows with the full conjugation of each verb, pop-up windows with the meaning of each verb and the glossed structure and reading-specific pop-up vocabulary lists.
Concerns:
Some modification might be made to distinguish between the categories of the -IR stem-changing verbs and the verbs with orthographical spelling changes, e.g., the spelling patterns for preterite yo verbs ending -n -zar, -car, -gar, -jar. At present, they appear as one category.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
This program is a very useful student resource, because it can be used both at computer stations in classroom or lab settings as well as for independent use outside the classroom. It is engaging and interesting to students because of the scoring and functionality. The user can control the time spent on each quiz and can stop the clock/end the quiz, as needed. The program can also be used as an editorial resource when students are word-processing compositions.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
The program has a clear and attractive interface, simple site navigation and adequate help and feedback to the user. The "Add an Accent" feature helps speed up writing without having to slow down and locate the appropriate keyboard strokes for each accented vowel.
Concerns:
If there were sample sound files when the full conjugation is clicked and if glossaries appeared with images and/or dictionary meaning in the target language in the definition window pop-up, the drill and practice would become a truly multisensory exercise.
