Another goal is to improve the students’ problem-solving skills and get better at limits, derivatives, and integrals. This helps students to learn at their own pace and track their progress as they master each topic.

Strengths:: This list of highly interactive activities covers a wide variety of topics from Calculus. Although intended to be accompanied by a textbook, these applets can individually be shared with students in an LMS. XL gives instant feedback and explains every answer. It adapts to the students’ skill level and helps them improve step by step. The SmartScore shows the progress clearly. This site covers many calculus topics in an organized way. The practice is interactive and keeps the students engaged. Many of the activities make use of graphics and scenarios to help make sense of potentially difficult topics.

A user can also set a customized skill plan that aligns with a particular textbook. A tool called Recommendation Wall can be used to suggest a set of personalized activities. IXL helps the learner by giving instant feedback and step-by-step explanations. The SmartScore keeps the learner motivated to reach mastery.

There are buttons that allow activities to be shared with different users. IXL is easy to use with a simple and clean layout. Navigation is straightforward, and topics are well organized. It works smoothly on computers, tablets, and phones. Answers are entered directly, and feedback appears right away.
