Overview:: The H5P Authoring Tool, available at H5P.org, is utilized by the global Open Education and K-12 Education communities to create and share Open Educational Resources (OER). H5P is compatible with various Classroom Management Systems and Learning Management Systems. The integration of the H5P OER HUB into the Authoring Tool will enhance the creation and curation of content by the global, collaborative H5P community. This free platform supports a variety of educational content types, making it suitable for both classroom activities and student self-study.

Recommended Uses:: The uploaded educational materials can be utilized for both pre-class and in-class activities. Additionally, these resources can serve as reference documents for post-class activities.
Technical Requirements:: Any web browser, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, or even a mobile phone browser, is suitable for accessing this website. The site is very user-friendly and does not require any special skills to navigate.

Strengths:: This tool is targeted toward k-12 educators. They offer a variety of "apps" that can assist in creating course resources - essays, image sequencing, questionnaires.There are a large variety of disciplines and content types available in the shared content options of the Hub.The option to create your own content using the content types at the basic level such as quizzes or carnegie notes and at the interactive level using game maps, interactive videos, virtual tours etc. is available when created content is not available.There are Demo’s available for all content types.
Concerns:: It is a relatively new site and it seems that there are still a few technical issues. This site will improve with age. It seems a bit challenging for students and educators to use and may require some basic training on how to create and develop content.

Material can be adjusted to users need.

The layout is clear and consistent, contributing to an intuitive and user-friendly experience. Navigating through the browser is straightforward, making it accessible even for those with limited technical skills. Additionally, the website is robust, providing reliable performance and functionality. Overall, the site is in excellent working order, offering a seamless and efficient experience for both educators and students. A user guide is provided to assist with setting up an account, building your own content, and accessing shared content.
Concerns:: Material must be downloaded to a device or LMS with H5P capabilities to be used. Search tool for shared content can be clunky. Using search criteria fields does not always show results specific to the discipline, content tool, or subject you search.H5P.org provides a free service for trying out H5P before installing through 30-day trial but requires an account be created. Any test content created or selected to save, and use is publicly available.

Other Issues and Comments:: Overall, the website is a valuable resource for both educators and students. It is rich in content, featuring an abundance of high-quality and outstanding materials. Locating where to get access to shared content and how was not easily available at first glance. The user guide is labeled as how to create content although this is where you also learn how to access created content.
