Overview:: The open textbook Electromagnetics, volume 1 is a peer-reviewed open educational resource intended for electrical engineering students in the third year of a bachelor of science degree program. It is intended as a primary textbook for a one-semester first course in undergraduate engineering electromagnetics.

Recommended Uses:: It could be recommended for courses on electrical engineering. Useful also for blended/hybrid teaching as a reference book

Strengths:: At a basic and practical level, the concepts are clearly explained, and the structure of contents is correct. The book contains the basic core concepts in the discipline. Compact demonstrations and derivation of equations. A list of open-link references is included in Appendix for interested readers. Additional materials as exercises and solutions available for student’s homework and self-learning .
Concerns:: No concerns.

Rating:
Strengths:: The material could be used as a stand-alone reference textbook, and also as a supplementary material in traditional or blended/hybrid courses. The concepts are built progressively and based in prior concepts.Since there are no proposed problems for students to practice, the possible interactivity a traditional book may offer is jeopardized. Relations between concepts are easily stated by means on internal links of the book.
Concerns:: The material does not allow the measure of learning outcomes.
