This would be a great resource for learners to get an understanding of historical figures in nursing and key nursing concepts. This interest can be further satisfied by seeking additional information from other resources.
Concerns:
Some areas of the text provide minimal detail on the topic and subjects within the topic. For example, three sentences were included under "Other Pioneers" among the chapter on "Historical Influences On Nursing Practice".

The teaching learning goals are noted clearly in the introduction to this text. The organization and key content supports learner identification of important aspects pertaining to nursing. Content could be used as a foundation for further exploration on topics identfied within this text.
