The Museum of the World is an interactive experience through time, continents and cultures, featuring some of the most fascinating objects in human history. The project is a partnership between the British Museum and Google Cultural Institute. For the first time ever, discover objects from the British Museum’s collection from prehistory to the present using the most advanced WebGL (Web Graphics Library) technology available. Users can jump back in time to explore objects from across diverse cultures and listen to British Museum curators share their insights.

The main page is an interactive timeline of geographic regions of the world that can be navigated using arrows on side of screen or wheel on mouse. There is also a menu on the side of major topics. User can mouse over a dot on the timeline for a thumbnail and the opt to select. Other menus allows users to navigate to a specific time period or share artifact information.
Concerns:
Not certain about the accessibility for those who access the site with a screen reader.

This is an amazing collection of art and culture with an extensive library of information about these pieces and their place in history. The collection continues to expand its topics.
