This is a great interactive website that can be used by teachers and students in Living Environment or General Chemistry. I could use this website to help teach about DNA, RNA, protein synthesis, Mendelian genetics, or DNA mutations. I could use the animations during a lesson or have students look at them and answer the problem questions for homework. This website could also be used as a source for a genetics project as well.

This is a "short and sweet" animation of how enzymes work. This would be great as a visual for an enzymes lesson. I would show this animation to students and afterwards have them either write or draw a summary of how an enzyme works as a quick assessment.

This is another animation on enzymes, but it illustrates the different characteristics of enzymes. It is an interactive website in which groups of students could work together to learn about the characteristics of enzymes. I could use this in an enzymes lessons as a summary summary group activity or have it assigned as part of homework. If used as a group activity, I would pull up the website on the smartboard and allow all groups to read through the enzyme problems. After allowing some time for groups to deliberate, each group would state their answers and reasons behind it.

This is another great animation on the digestive system and it illustrates how food passes through the digestive tract. This would be a great way to introduce a lesson on digestion or as a summary video at the end of a lesson. After showing the animation, I could ask students to summarize in their own words or drawing of how food moves through the body. Also, student could make a graphic organizer of food moving through the body while watching the animation.

This website contains many animated tutorials for biology topics. I would use these especially for topics such as mitosis and meiosis in a reproduction unit because it is sometimes very difficult for students to visualize these events. I could use the video throughout the lesson while pausing between each phase to write notes and to discuss further. Then at the end of the lesson, I could play the whole video without pausing and students could make graphic organizers while watching.
