I really like this because it shows a great visual for students. They have a hard time grasping the concept of the different faults. The descriptions of faults are great. When I teach about faults and plate tectonics I could use this to help my students have a better understanding of different fault types.

This will be very helpful in class. Probably better if done after the geologic timeline this way it can reinforce it. Also might be overwhelming if done before or during teaching geologic timeline. Students can go to any Era or Period and see a map of how Earth's continents used to look like. They can also see what animals were present and where. Students can also look for specific fossils by selecting from a chart similar to their Earth Science Reference Tables. Using the Select a Time option students can also see how life evolved. Also some very cool fossil pictures.

I could make an activity where students go to this website and fill out a worksheet about different minerals. Good pictures of excellent samples
