World War II Resources- High School
I have created a compilation of databases and archival collections intended for students to do a research project on World War II. Finding reliable sources is a skill that students need to develop, and these are great databases that students can also use in the future for other classes. The collections I have chosen all contain primary sources from both oppressors and the oppressed, emphasizing equity, diversity, and inclusivity in the historical narrative. The first source is not a database, as it was the initial source I looked at before branching out into primary sources. By using the secondary source first, it lays the foundation for the material. The following 5 databases/collections are for students to explore through personal inquiry into aspects of the war that might interest them.
