Bloom's Taxonomy
This short slide presentation is based on a paper for a course (EDDE803) in the Doctor of Education in Distance Education (EdD) program at Athabasca University. I attempt to provide a description of Bloom’s Taxonomy, define its components and processes, and explain its application in facilitating teaching, and assessing. The paper aims to provide a historical time frame, and context for the Taxonomy, and to demonstrate its effectiveness, applicability, and influence on instruction. It also highlights the importance of the Taxonomy in course design and assessment tasks, and provides a brief overview of the interconnection of various elements of the domains with other theoretical principles (see MindMap - link provided).
